 ARA has over 55 years of experience designing, developing, and manufacturing antennas and RF systems for both military and civilian applications. These antenna and RF systems are used across a multitude of industries to include: Communication Networks, Unmanned Air Systems SATCOM, RADAR, RF Surveillance and Jamming for Electronic Warfare, Spectrum Operations and Border Patrol, Public Safety Networks, and Civilian markets. ARA products cover all commercial and military frequency bands from 10 Hz to 80 GHz and antenna types optimized for specific bands. Multi-octave antenna systems are available for fixed, mobile, and tactical applications.

ARA boasts a fully staffed outdoor antenna test range as well as an engineering staff, manufacturing lines, and machine shops at both its antenna facilities. These capabilities allow ARA to supply unique antenna systems in both high-volume quantities and smaller order quantities to ensure customer success.

Company History

1963

ARA introduced small antennas for long range, high frequency communication, and becomes forerunner in extremely broadband antenna systems for Surveillance, Spectrum Management, and TEMPEST Testing.

1970s

Developed high gain arrays antennas and highly sophisticated antenna feeds for VSAT antennas, SATCOM products, and both military and commercial RADAR systems.



1980s

Developed several unique antenna systems for Mobile and Tactical communication systems.





1990s

Introduction of military-targeted products such as High Gain Box Horn Arrays, High Gain Broadband Omnis for Jamming (Counter RF IED products), Body Wearable antennas, and Quick Deployment antennas. 


2000s

ARA acquired Seavey Engineering in 2003 and introduced a fleet of new products for UAVs, Weather Radar Systems, Perimeter Monitoring, Wideband omni RF Jamming Systems and sophisticated RF Simulators.

2014-Present

ARA’s engineering and manufacturing operations include a facility in Laurel, Maryland, a facility in Pembroke, Massachusetts, and a Long Range Antenna Testing field in Middleborough, Massachusetts. All of our facilities are DoD compliant.

Our newest headquarters in Laurel, MD, opened its doors in February of 2020 and doubled the square footage from our previous location.
